Welcome to The Britslam Partnership! We are a group of thinkers and doers from various parts of the world, coming together as partners to help create better inter-cultural, inter-religious and inter-community understanding.
Britslam (lit. British and Islamic) will focus primarily on issues affecting Muslim communities and their relations with the world. We believe that a level of self-reflection not often experienced is essential in order for there to be progress in Muslim thinking at all levels. This will only happen if there is honest and objective critical analysis of all things “Islamic” or “Muslim”, and with a commitment to progress through reform of ideas as well as attitudes.
Britslam will offer a plethora of opinions, thoughts, analyses and comment on a range of issues affecting Muslims and Islam today. To do this, we will not only promote positive and meaningful interaction between partners in an on-going multilogue, but we will be a platform for positive and meaningful change. In doing so, we will encourage new voices to have their say, identify emerging leaderships, and promote self-advancement.
